Yay for the Sunshine!

Finally...my Mommy and Daddy didn't have to go to work today!! It was so nice to wake up in my crib and simply be able to play. Mommy and I took a walk in the morning and sat by the Heritage Circle Fountain on campus. I really liked watching the fountain bubble! I didn't want to sit in the stroller anymore, so Mommy carried me home while she pushed the stroller. Pretty soon I'll be able to carry her home. She told me she'd like to sit in the stroller while I pushed her home!

Next, Mommy made me my first baby food, peas! She steamed the frozen peas and then made a puree out of them in the food processor. I liked all the noise the food processor was making. She put them in all the little storage containers for the next week or so. I ate my peas at lunch time, and boy did I gobble them up! At first I was confused yet curious about the color of this food going into my mouth. But I thought about it for a few seconds, and decided to smile.

We watched the Cubbies win and the Bulls end their playoff journey today. I hope the Cubs can save some runs for today. They sure scored a lot yesterday. We don't have that second Comcast station, so we couldn't watch our Blackhawks. But, Mommy checked online for me this morning and was happy to tell me that they came back to win the game!
