A Week Inside to Recover

Dr. Renner told me on Tuesday that I should spend the week inside recovering while I was on my medications and just be restful.

Well, inside I can do...but restful..HAHA! I'm 3!

My First Hospital Visit and Overnight

A week ago today, we were in a much different condition here at home.

I was having difficulty breathing through the night, and ended up in the doctor's office, which turned into emergency care, being transported via ambulance to Hinsdale Hospital. I was then admitted through Monday afternoon.

I had quite a weekend.

I couldn't keep my oxygen levels up on my own and was having trouble breathing.

I was on oxygen, albuterol, an oral steroid, and Flovent.

Saturday, I was not myself, but by Sunday mid morning, Mom decided to get me moving to see if that would help.

Here I am making sure Nurse Tammy checked my oxygen levels and my pulse, to be sure I was still ok!

I had to check Turtle's too!

Upon my return home Monday, Mom continued my meds at home and now I'm only on Flovent. Doctor Renner said I'll be on Flovent for quite a while.

Now I have lots of restrictions and precautions to take. I can't be around animals for sure. I have lots of triggers that we are now aware of that I need to stay away from.

Whatever it takes to keep me healthy.

75!!

I've been working on counting by 5's! I've mastered the 10's but continue to add new "purple triangles" to my wall to work my way up to 100.

Today, Saturday, I hit 75 with no mistakes! HOORAY!!

Homemade Stencils and Q Tip Painting

I like painting with the Q Tips! Today, we made some homemade stencils from paper plates. See how I'm painting the purple heart?



We also made a color bottle today. Mom added blue food coloring to water and then added heated veggie oil with red food coloring in it. I shook it up and made PURPLE! My favorite color!

Teaching Max!

Here I am with my buddy, Max!

I taught him how to vacuum around the apartment, read with him, and even played toys as I rocked him in our recliner!

We have lots of fun! I can't believe he's been hanging with us for a whole year now! He's so much more fun now than he was when he just laid on the floor! :)

Snow Paint and the First Snow!

We took shaving cream and Elmers school glue (equal parts) and mixed it up in a bowl to paint with! It smelled really clean and was nice and puffy!

We made a snowman and some letters!

Mommy added the chocolate chips that hurt my tummy to the snowman to make him look nifty!

Then we went outside and played in the snow after Max went home!

Pom Pom/Stone Letter Project and BEADS!

Today we used some of the left over red stones Mommy had as well as some clearanced pom poms from Michaels for me to work on my letters and motor skills.

Mommy printed the letters for me out on the computer, and I work on using the pom poms and the stones to create the letters!

Melting Crayon Art!

We worked on some art today with crayons and the hair dryer. Mom used the hair dryer but I helped line up the crayons for her to hot glue on the poster.

Super simple and fun to watch the colors melt and mix!

January Cabin Fever Projects

Here we played with Ivory Soap in the microwave while Daddy was away at a conference in Milwaukee! Super easy...throw 1/4 of a bar of ivory soap in the microwave on a plate and look what happens!


This week we did a lot of fun projects!

We also played with cookie cutters and play dough!

The Rest of Our Time in Siesta Key, FL

We had the best family vacation ever. We can't wait to go back to Siesta Key!

Beach and Pool!

Dumbo was my first ride EVER! I really Mickey's house!

Siesta Key Here We Come!

Airplane ride from Chicago Midway to Sarasota....here we come beach and pool!

A pizzeria from New Jersey had a location right in Siesta Key too, so Mom and Dad stopped there for lunch.

My dad walked a few blocks to get me some allergy free chicken to eat while they enjoyed their pizza.

Gale Street Inn with Grandma Schaefer

Grandma Schaefer took us out to the Gale Street Inn over Christmas Break. I enjoyed a delicious hamburger and fries. :)

Then we went back and played dominoes at her house after! Mommy said it brought back great memories!

Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

Christmas Day is all about Jesus and his birthday!

How cool is it that we get to receive presents for His day?

God has blest me with a wonderful family, so we gave away many old toys after Christmas Day to less fortunate children.
