Ok, so I checked out that whole voting thing. It seems kind of confusing. Once you click "register" it asks you for your child's information. If you don't want to enter your child, but just want to vote, look to the right, and click on something pertaining to "I'll do that later, let me view the contestants". Clicking on that link will give you a random overview of the kids in the contest. Just enter my id number 800885808 in the red box and you will be taken to my page. Click "vote" and you should be good for the next 24 hours. After that, just come back to my blog and click on the second link above my picture over there to the right. That will take you to the home page for the Casting Call. Once you are logged in, just enter my id number and click "vote" again.

Yesterday I was trying real hard to get something to eat out of the refrigerator. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get any of the lids off of the containers! I went from kneeling to standing because I wanted to see what was on the second shelf.

Katherine's Horse

My cousin Katherine is almost 17 years old now. When she was a little girl, this was her horse. She passed it on to my cousins Peter, Mark, and Rose. They passed it on to Megan and Luke. Now, here I am enjoying the blue horse. I can do it all by myself now!

Pumpkin Festival and a ND win!

Today we took a little drive down to Morton, Illinois which is just east of Peoria. Morton is the pumpkin capital of the world (so Mommy's Food Network Magazine tells us). They have the Libby's pumpkin factory down there. The funniest thing was that the winner of the biggest pumpkin contest was a man from Romeoville! It was 800 some pounds! Here's a picture of Mommy and me on one of the "smaller" pumpkins. This one weighted in at 685 pounds. :)

We came home in time to watch the second half of the Notre Dame MSU game and were happy the Irish held on to the win. Yay for 2-1. Let's home the Hawks bring home a win tonight and the Bears a win tomorrow. Plus, I know my Uncle Mikey is playing ball this weekend with his baseball team, the Lake Monsters. I hope they do well too!!

Future Flyers

Hi bloggers! What a day I had, let me tell you!! We went to the library this morning for our Toddler Time. That was a blast. I love watching my friend Drew run all over the place! Then Mommy took me to the park on the way home. I had a great time in the swing and playing with the steering wheel. Then this afternoon, we watched the Flyers take on UMSL in men's soccer. Auntie Mandy dropped off Drew with us and we watched the whole first half of the game. We even took a picture with Bedcheck Charlie! It was warm and we needed a snack, so we headed to Daddy's office since it was closer to the field than our apartment. After we were refreshed, we walked down to the softball field where Auntie Mandy was coaching the Lady Flyers with Mr. DiMatteo. We had a jam pack afternoon! These are my kind of days!

I sure like kicking and have liked kicking since I was in Mommy's belly. Who knows, maybe I'll be a Flyer Soccer player one day...

Rough Day...

My mouth was really bothering me today. I screamed and cried for a good 3.5 hours this afternoon. Drew came over around 2 and slept right through my fussiness. I just stayed with Mommy and worked through it. She made me a sweet potato and mashed it up with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and olive oil. That tasted really good and helped me forget about the pain. Drew and I played with my fire trucks until Uncle Andy came to pick him up this evening. It sure is fun to have my buddy here three afternoons a week!

Daddy's In the LU News!

Last week was the dedication of the new residence hall on campus, Dorothy Day Hall. Check out Daddy's picture and the nice article from the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

Yesterday I was going to go visit the senior citizens at Mommy's old church in Chicago where Great Grandma Schaefer would be at the meeting. However, Grandma decided not to go, so we visited with her at home instead. It turned out great because we ended up seeing Auntie Juanita too! The meeting had a Hawaiian theme, so I was dressed for the party. We never made it there, but I looked handsome anyway!

Bear Down...While I Sleep

Today I tailgated in anticipation for the Bears opener tonight. I ate ALL day long. I had chicken and rice, avocado, cheerios (lots of those), spinach, applesauce, and kiwi. I actually drank a good amount of water out of my big boy straw cup too. I cracked my sippy cup yesterday, so I had no choice but to use the cup that has a rubber straw attached to it. I did really well with it.

All I was able to see was the kick off of the big game before I got fussy. It was my bedtime and I was not going to fight it, no matter what was happening in the NFL.

I'm Going To Disney World!

Tonight Mom and Dad went downtown to the Palmer House for LU's Signum Fidei dinner. Signum Fidei means "sign of faith". All of the funds raised from the dinner and auction go to the university's scholarship funds. Mom and Dad bid on the week's vacation at a condo in Orlando in the Silent Auction and won it. I am so excited! We are going on vacation next year!

Short Week!

So, it's already the end of Wednesday. Wow! Mommy and I are soooo busy during the week. Yesterday I went to the office while she taught her math class here on campus. Today we went to Washington to pick up the fire department tshirt orders and then Drew spent the afternoon with us. Everyone was happy to see me at Washington. Mrs. Vera and Mrs. Kren got to hold me today. I spent some time in Ms. Kopta's office, but for good reasons!

Briyani Rice and Still Teething!

Yesterday we went to the Naperville Final Fling. I can't remember if I blogged about that or not. It was a great day. Last night, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. They brought me three Bears shirts for this upcoming season. I'm super excited about this season. Hopefully Jay Cutler will bring us some much needed success at the QB position.

Today, I was a crab. I admit it. Honestly, how would you feel if a bone was cutting through your flesh? I don't feel guilty about my crabiness because Dr. Renner warned Mommy on Friday that my top gums felt like a tooth was going to cut soon. She should have known that all I would want today would be to be held. Daddy made this Briyani rice with fish and potatoes that filled our apartment with wonderful smells all day. Then they have the nerve to put me in the high chair and feed me Gerber Puffs and applesauce while they eat the delicious rice. My Daddy is such a great cook. Why wouldn't I want to enjoy the tastes too? Sigh...

To their credit, I did have a dried apricot today along with some black beans. For dinner, Daddy gave me more pureed hamburger and spinach. It was all quite tasty. Where has this food been for 9 months of my life?

9 Months Old...

Yesterday was my 9 month check up with Dr. Renner. She was happy to see me for just a check up! I'm happy to report that I had a good check up. I weigh 21 pounds 2.1 ounces and I'm 28.5 inches long. I'm moving on down somewhere between the 50th and 75th percentile. My doctor also said I can start table food. Yay! I tried some tater tots, black beans, chicken, hamburger, and spinach already. Oh yes, I tried a little of the allergy free choc. chip cookie yesterday too. Yum!

I went to have my 9 month pictures taken today at Mr. Aldo and Mrs. Kathy's house. I can't wait for you to be able to see those! Mr. Aldo is just great. We went to the park, took some pictures in my Halloween costume, and then took some fun and random pictures of me just playing around.

September Already

Here is a picture of my friend Drew and me in my wagon yesterday. Auntie Mandy started Grad School yesterday. She's also the grad assistant for Mr. DiMatteo and the softball team. So, when she goes to practice and class, Drew gets to hang out with Mommy and me at our place. We had a blast. Today I visited Daddy at work for awhile. I am getting better at standing around and walking with my walker/lawn mower "thingy". I run with that "thingy". It makes Mommy laugh!
