Hello LB and Bravo!!

Yesterday my Mommy's friends came to visit. Miss LB who is almost Mrs. LB and Miss Bravo came to visit me for the first time. They live way up north in Mundelein and Wisconsin now. We were so happy they came down here to Romeoville. Miss Bravo played with me so much. She was a professional with me. I think it's from all the practice she gets with her niece, Isabella. I saw Dr. Renner today too. My eczema worried Mommy a little bit. She saw these white patches on my skin that she had not seen before. Dr. Renner told her that those are the normal patches of skin on my very abnormal skin! Oh boy! She prescribed a creme for me to use to help clear me up a bit. Mommy and I picked that creme up on our way home from picking up Grandma Chiodo. You see, today, we are heading to Indianapolis and we are so excited!! I am going to see Luke and Megan (my cousins) again!! Yipee!! They are so much fun. They take good care of me and show me how to play with all kinds of toys. Mommy and I will blog again when we are back in Romeoville. Ciao!!

On to 9 Month Outfits!

Today I was a little off track....and I'm still not to sure why. I slept later than usual. I went to sleep around 8 like I usually do, but I slept until 7. That threw Mommy off track! She went to get the oil changed on the RAV nice and early, so Daddy stayed home with me. She came home and we played for awhile before we made a Target run. Mommy went to church without us this week because Daddy is going to the Black Heritage Ball tonight at Lewis. She came home from mass just as he was ready to get in the shower. It worked out great. I had some good time with Daddy today, and back to Mama tonight. Here are two pictures of me in my 9 month outfits. I am filling them in quite nicely, don't you think?

Self Portraits!

Auntie Mandy always tells Mommy that it looks like she was absent for the first 3 months of Drew's life because she was always the one taking the pictures! Mommy saw the same thing happening, so she took some self portraits of us today as we went about our adventures. We ran some errands this morning and then took a walk on campus and ended up going to watch the LU softball team play USF in Joliet this afternoon. Although I slept through most of it, the fresh air really did me good! So, Mommy took a picture of us during tummy time, before we left for the game in our Lewis gear, and watching American Idol. I am going to miss Mommy and our adventures when she has to go back to work in a few weeks. I just have to be thankful that she'll be with me again in June and throughout next year. :)

Lunch with Auntie Juanita

I am so lucky! I had visitors two days in a row this week! Today my Auntie Juanita came all the way from Carpentersville to visit us. She must really love me!! We had so much fun visiting. I smiled at her while she talked to me and held me. I showed her how I play in the saucer, how I talk, and even how I poop all over my pants! We had a great day. I haven't seen her since my baptism, so we had a lot to catch up on. Look at these great clothes she brought me. Aren't they so cool? Thank you Auntie Juanita for reading my blog and for coming to visit. We love you!

A Surprise Visit

Yay! Today my Godfather, Uncle Peter, called and said that they were going to be down this way, and asked if he and Auntie Tammy and my cousins could come and visit. Of course we said yes! They brought Subway for lunch and we had a great time. I haven't seen them since I stopped by about 6 weeks ago at their house. My cousins Peter and Mark have long hair now! Rosie was as sweet as she always is to me! Look at our pictures we took. I was doing pretty well until my sleepiness really got to me. Oh well...I can't smile in all of my pics. :)

Even I'm Allowed A Rough Day Every Now and Then

Today, I was not a happy baby. I think my skin was irritating me. Every time Mommy left my eye sight, I cried really hard. That is not like me! I am 99.9% of the time a very happy baby! I spoil my parents so much that they worry when I get a little cranky. My baby eczema was really irritating me today. I took two short naps and drank most of my bottles. My neighbor Mac came over to visit this afternoon while her mommy took her brother for his doctor's appointment. She read to me, colored me a picture, and played with me. Once she went home, Mommy took me to Target to get some hydrocortizone creme and creamy body wash for babies with eczema. Grandma Schaefer said that she thinks Mommy should give it a try before I go back to the doctor next week for my 4 month check up. Doctor Renner said if the Aquafor didn't help enough, to try to hydrocortizone. We'll see in the next few days how I feel and how my skin looks. I took a nice bath tonight when we came home with the new baby wash. I think it might have helped a little. Mommy really hopes I feel better tomorrow...me too!

This is a picture of me from today. It speaks a 1,000 words. You know how I'm usually moving all over the place in my pictures? Well, today I didn't feel much like moving around. I felt dreary like the weather...

Flat Top Grill and Flyers Softball

Baby steps...we are taking baby steps! At first, Mommy and Daddy were only allowed to carry out food from restaurants, etc. Then, we moved to Mall Food Courts. Yesterday, I allowed them the bar with Uncle Mikey. Today was another big step! I let them take me to Flat Top Grill for brunch! Oh, I remember when I was in Mommy's belly...they had such wonderful food!! Mommy would feed me lots of fresh strawberries and pineapple, yummy egg white omlettes with all kinds of veggies, and then a pancake with chocolate chips in it! Today, she got to have it again...but I was stuck with just milk! They were so happy to enjoy their meal without me fussing too much. :)
Then, we took the stroller out and headed down to the baseball field. Lewis played Bellarmine, but we got there right at the end of the 7th inning. We knew the second game of softball double header was going to start at 2, so we headed down for that game. The softball team was playing St. Joe's. I was ok for 5 innings, but then I couldn't stand it anymore. We watched the Flyers go ahead 3-1 in the game. They went on to victory 5-1! Yay! I brought them some good luck.
Finally, we came home and watched some NCAA basketball. Mommy and Daddy's teams in the bracket are doing pretty well so far! We picked Mizzou, but still felt bad for the MU guy who stepped on the line with 5 seconds to go. He's going to have nightmares about that for the rest of his life.
Sorry that Mommy didn't take any pictures today. She wasn't thinking and left the house without the cam today. Oops!

My First Trip to the Bar...Uncle Mikey's Birthday Celebration!

Today, I ventured into the adult world and headed to a bar. It was my Uncle's birthday on Thursday, so we wanted to take him out for lunch. We couldn't find any parking by his apartment, so we parked on Lincoln Ave. and walked about a half a block to a place called The Spread. They had delicious food and beer. I had my eye on Mommy's beer, but for some reason she wouldn't give me a sip. I had to settle for my bottle...again.

I also got to meet Mommy's good friend, Agnes. Miss Agnes went to St. Constance and Resurrection with Mommy. They have been friends for a long time. Miss Agnes wanted to come see me, so she came this morning before we went to see Uncle Mikey. We had a great time. I charmed her with my good looks. :)

After lunch with Uncle Mikey, we headed to St. Constance for mass. I was really good, BUT really talkative!! I think I made sure the whole church knew I was there. Before mass was over, Fr. Ted introduced me to the whole parish. He asked Mommy and Daddy to stand up, but Mommy just held me up real high (well, as high as her little arms could reach) so everyone could see me. After mass lots of people came up to me to say hi. I put on another show. Mrs. Henning and Fr. Ted kept holding me and making me laugh. I was so happy!! Fr. Ted asked us to take some pictures before we left. It's so nice to be loved!

Tomorrow, more adventures. This time, I think it will be with just Mommy and Daddy. :)

Grandma Babysits

Today Mommy had an appointment to get her teeth cleaned at the dentist, so my Grandma came to watch me. We had a lot of fun. She read me my Baby Bear book, sang to me, walked me, let me play in my walker, and fed me my morning bottle. She spoiled me some more by bringing me some more summer outfits. I'm such a lucky little boy. Grandma stayed and had lunch with Mommy and watched me while Mommy washed and filled my bottles. Then she headed home to go make dinner for my Grandpa. Later in the day, Mommy and I played with my teether keys. I was starting to grab them and put them in my mouth today when Mommy held them close enough for me to grab them. I like sitting in my Bumbo chair, but look out when I'm tired of it. I arch my back and cause the seat to tip a little. Mommy never leaves me alone in that chair!

Tomorrow we are heading to Schiller Park again. Mommy wants to teach her kiddies a tech. lesson and get their Classroom Ning accounts set up so they are ready for their projects with a class from Missouri and one from Daddy's hometown of Dubai when she has to go back to work in April. Mommy's excited about these projects and hopes her students are too! I know I will have lots of people looking after me while she teaches for an hour tomorrow. Everyone loves me at Washington School! :)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I am not one ounce Irish, but I'm wearing green for Mommy's Irish friends...especially Ms. Folan and Ms. Mullarney! Anyway, my Grandma gave me this cute Lucky Care Bear and an outfit to wear today. Unfortunately, I spit up all over the outfit this morning, so it's in the wash machine. Lucky for me I had another green outfit to wear. My Grandma is coming tomorrow, so I'll wear that for her again tomorrow. Well, today is a beautiful day. I thank St. Patrick for looking down on us and giving us such great weather! I'm off to enjoy it. I took a nap, drank my bottle, and now I have a clean diaper. Adios!

Ten Minute Naps Make For An Exhausted Mommy!

Today, I took 1 ten minute nap and 1 twenty minute nap. I didn't give Mommy time to workout. She purposely set the alarm for 5:30am so she could get it in before I woke up. Surprise! I got up early today!! I stayed in her Baby Bjorn so she could at least finish the laundry, but other than that, I demanded her time and attention for the entire day. Since Walgreens was having their 10 cent prints sale, Mommy ordered all of my pics since Valentine's Day. She packed me up in the car seat and we were off to Walgreens. She thought I'd get a good nap in while she drove me around. Haha...who does she think I am, a baby? To her surprise, I was quietly taking it all in when she took me out of the car! I finally threw in the towel around 8:30 tonight. We fell asleep together on the couch. Daddy took me out of her arms and put me in my crib and he told Mommy to recline the chair and sleep some more. She was so tired that she didn't wake up until midnight!! I demand all of her attention. The last two days, I cry if she even looks away from me.
Tomorrow, I hope to go watch the Lewis baseball game after Daddy comes home from work in the morning and Mommy finishes all of her stuff. I am looking forward to baseball season and baseball weather!! Go Flyers!

A Journey Across the Bridge

I went to visit my friend Drew and my Auntie Mandy this afternoon. Mommy brought Uncle Andy and Auntie Mandy sandwiches from Genco's. They were going to eat while Drew and I played. Well, Drew and I had other plans. First we both were a little cranky. Then we both wanted to eat. Then I continued to be cranky even though Drew was being so nice to me. He let me borrow his saucer and all of his toys. He even rocked me in my car seat and gave me hugs before I left. Thank you Uncle Andy, Auntie Mandy, and Drew for having me over! I promise next time we will stay longer and I will be in a better mood.

I'm getting better with my tummy time! I still don't like to be on my belly that long, but I am holding myself up better. One day at a time!

Grandpa and American Idol

Today my Grandpa came to visit again. Yay! I stayed home with him while Mommy had her eyebrows threaded and made a quick Jewel run. I took a walk with Mommy to the mailroom in our Baby Bjorn. It was such a different view from the front! I could see what was coming at me rather than just laying in the stroller and going backwards! Before my last bottle, I danced with Mommy to P.Y.T. on Michael Jackson night of American Idol. Daddy thought I did a great job that he decided to take my pic. I was laughing a lot through the whole song!

Daylight Savings Time Change and a Flood in Ryan Hall

Today, I was off an hour because someone decided we had to change the clocks. I don't understand why, but it was 8 oclock when my body said it was 7 oclock. I was so confused as to when I was suppose to fall asleep. What's the deal with that?

It rained really hard here in Romeoville. It all came down pretty fast...so fast that it flooded two residence hall rooms and the lounge in Ryan Hall. It was time to help Daddy with work. We answered phone calls from his staff, called others to help out, and answered emails. Here I am helping Daddy on his blackberry. Phew...we worked hard!

Yay for Sweet Tomatoes!

I never cease to amaze myself. Today, I let Mommy and Daddy eat at one of their favorite places to eat, "Sweet Tomatoes" in Lombard. I am usually eating my bottles every 3 hours now instead of every 2, so they can get more done. Today after I ate, we headed up north for the adventure. I slept while they ate. Then they took me to Buy Buy Baby (Uncle Paul and Auntie Stephanie, they told us that they just opened a new one in Greenwood, IN., so we thought of you.) and they took care of the problem with my humidifier and grabbed a few other things. They found out that BBBaby takes competitor's coupons, so Mommy was excited! She had Babies R Us coupons PLUS her 20% off Bed Bath and Beyond Coupons to use there!! Mommy and her coupons...sigh!

Here are a few pics of me from yesterday and today. I'm able to stand up in my walker now! I really enjoy it. I can see the world go by while Mommy pushes me around. I feel like I'm driving a car! Thanks Uncle Mikey for this great Blackhawks outfit. I wear it quite often!

Thank You Mrs. Case

Yesterday, my Daddy took the day off and we went to the outlet mall in Aurora. It was so much fun! We were able to walk around outside and enjoy the great weather. When we got home, I played a little bit and then took a bath and hit the sack. Mommy forgot to blog. Thank you for the reminder Mrs. Case :).

Wednesday, I went with Mommy to visit all her friends at Washington School as well as all of the kids. It was quite an adventure. Lots of people held me and I put on a little musical show! I tooted on Mrs. B's lap in the office while she held me, I burped for Mrs. Albandia while she held me, and I pooped on Ms. Randolph's lap at lunch time. Oops! Then while Mommy was changing me, and some of the teachers (including Mrs. Case) were still in the faculty room on their lunch, my booty started tooting. I let them know I enjoyed my lunch! :) I visited Mommy's students and fell asleep on her shoulder while we were in her classroom. Then I visited with Miss Lakovski and Mrs. Wajda at the end of the day. I wanted to be in on their conversation while Mommy fed me. I like that school and all of the people in it, but I still don't want Mommy to go back to work in a month...

Today I am going to my friend Katie's birthday party here on campus. It should be fun! Mommy is excited because we can walk to it since the weather will be nice!

Almost Ready for A New Car Seat!

Mommy took me to see Dr. Renner yesterday to check on my neck. Mommy saw this rash on in the inside of my elbows, so she wanted the doctor to check that too. I weighed in at 16 pounds 6 ounces, 25 inches long, and my head is 44cm. The doctor said I'm doing great. She said that I have sensitive skin like my Daddy, and that I have baby eczema. She told Mommy which creams to get for my skin and then she checked my head and my neck. She could tell how hard I have been working all month to strengthen both sides of my neck! I have spent a lot of time on my tummy or "standing up" with someone's help. It paid off! She said my head looked great and I should keep it up! I don't want a flat head, so I will take her advice.

Today Mommy and Daddy took me to Babies R Us. We used some of my gift cards to buy my new car seat that will take me all the way to 100 pounds. Maybe over the weekend we will go visit the police officer at the station to have her check it and put it in Mommy's truck before I sit in it. It's sort of like a space ship seat! I think I will feel like a king in it! :)

I continue to fall asleep around 8ish at night and wake up around 4:30 or 5:30 in the morning. I took three naps today. Two were 30 minutes on the dot and one was shorter on our way to Babies R Us later in the day. Mommy is such a planner, so she started keeping track of my days again today. Now that I'm almost three months, she wants to see if I start doing things on a schedule (I secretly think she wants me to be like her....always running on a schedule and with a plan!). We'll see if I'm into that or not!

Well, I better put the laptop down and close my eyes again before Daddy comes in to check on the humidifier. Ciao!!

March 1st already!

Wow! March is here! It's bittersweet! I'm glad it's March because hopefully the weather will get better and I can go outside more. I'm sad it's March because mommy's maternity leave is almost over.
Today I spent a lot of time with Daddy. We went to Jewel and everyone fussed over me! I can't help it that I'm cute. :) Mommy had lunch with a friend and she was so happy to see me when she came home. She doesn't understand how everytime that I stay home with Daddy I just sleep! Hey, my Daddy works hard, so I have to give him a break. :)
I had a lot of exercise in my saucer from my friend Abby today. I'm getting really good at keeping my head up and still. I hit the buttons and play the music on the saucer, but I don't really know I'm doing it. I study the frog on the saucer real hard. I just know that I'm going to be able to grab it someday if I keep studying it. :)
