Max Reading, Sensory Bins, and Shaving Cream

Max doesn't get much face time. I'm usually really busy doing projects with Abby, and Max gets to stick with Mom.

Today, Mom turned the camera around on him for a change!

Here he is reading my Jungle Animals book. He was counting the animals with Mom here.

They read it over and over. He really liked it.

While he was busy reading, Abby and I were "cooking" with our measuring cups and spoons in our fall sensory bins (fall jewels, sparkly leaves, pumpkins, gourds, rice, and beans).



Here we are practicing using our safety scissors and gluing pictures of anything on a piece of paper with our glue sticks.




Since today is Flyer Red Friday, we decided to dye our shaving cream red and mix it up while we practiced making shapes, writing our ABC's out, and even some 1,2,3's. :)

We Made Paint Apple Pies!

Yesterday, we made "apple pie" with red paint, cinnamon, and sugar.

We smelled and tasted the cinnamon and sugar in the small bowls and used our colorful words to describe them.

Then we used our paintbrush to add all the ingredients to our plate and mix it up.

What fun!

We "baked" them in the oven and enjoyed the sweet smells of fall. :)

Time Plaza, Apples, and Hanging in the Tree

After calendar time yesterday, we worked on our new Color Books.





Then we took a walk to return Mommy's books at the library here on campus.

After our walk, we did a "leaf project" by Time Plaza.



In the afternoon, we made apples on our paper plates!




Grandpa came to visit in the afternoon after he played golf, and we started climbing trees as he was getting ready to leave. :)

Library, the Park, and Watercolors

What a busy day!

We went to storytime at the library this morning and borrowed a big bag's worth of books. We made some cool little monkeys too with pipe cleaners. :)

Then we headed to the park and played until lunchtime.

After lunch we painted with watercolors and headed to Daddy and Ms. Karlie's office to visit at the end of the day!

Tool Time

Monday afternoon we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's and then Grandma Ba's house.

Fun with Feltboard

Saturday I played with the new learning toy mom made.

We have an apple tree and we sing a song for putting the apples on and taking them off. Abby and I did it yesterday during calendar time too. It's fun and feels really soft.

Fun With Shaving Cream

Today in our preschool we played with shaving cream!

It was so cool to get my hands dirty (really clean!) and make shapes with it, and even draw letters in it.

Mom's looking for some sensory windows for Abby and me to use. That will be fun to use window paint or colored shaving cream on those!

Blowing Bubbles in Water

Today Mommy thought we should practice blowing out of the straw by blowing bubbles in water.

I get it!

Look how much fun this was!

Reading and the Apple Orchard

Tuesday Abby, Logan, Mrs. Burgess, Mommy and I went to the Apple Orchard right down 159th Street.

We had a great time picking apples, checking out the pumpkins, looking around in the store, and feeding the hens.

I let out quite a laughing scream with each time the hen ate the corn I gave him! HA!

Eye Dropper Paint, Calendar, and Sciccors

Last week, we also dripped paint with eyedroppers on our paper and blew it around with our mini straws. How fun is that! I had a hard time blowing out of the straw though...I mean...I'm use to sucking in with the straw to drink!

Stamping with Apples

September is apple month in our preschool!

We cut apples up in half last week and used them as stamps to make prints.

Finger Painting and Fall Sensory Bins!

Abby and Max come and spend their days with me now. We have so much fun!

Mom made us some sensory bins with rice and beans as well as some gourds and pumpkins, fall jewels, and fake leaves from the dollar store. Abby and I like digging for treasures and "cooking".

We also finger painted with the globby paint today! We made apple trees with our fingers!
