Two Special Birthdays...Two Special People

Tonight we took Grandma Ba to mass and then headed to Monastero's for dinner. Auntie Tammy called us this afternoon and said she wanted to go to Monastero's for her birthday tonight and wondered if they could tag along. I love hanging out with my cousins so of course I was excited!

There was live entertainment too. A man was playing the piano. I enjoyed watching him tickle the keys. A lady with a beautiful voice sang lots of Italian songs too. Grandma really liked that. We all enjoyed our meal and then the lady came to sing happy birthday to both Auntie Tammy and Grandma. How cool!

What a great night. I love my family.

Days Going By...

Time is passing...January is almost...OVER. YAY! We love every day and treat them all as a blessing, but we are tired of January. We are ready for the hearts and red of February. Love is in the air!

What have we been up to over here in Romeoville? Well, spending time with Max, working on the days of the week and the concept of the calendar, counting up to 30, reading as much as we can, watching Toy Story 1 and 2, singing songs, trying out a few new recipes that are allergy free, experiencing some vegan recipes, coloring with big crayons and making shapes on my new big kid table from Grandma and Grandpa, talking on the phone to ANYONE who will talk/listen to me, cooking "soup" in pots, taking self portraits, and just having fun!

Cold and Snowy

January days bring cold wind and snow filled benches outside. The benches I climbed all over in the summer are not covered in cold white snow. I'm not that excited about going outside, and I'm happy to be able to stay in like a bug in a rug in our apartment with Mommy.

Daddy's Vacation and My Belated Birthday Dinner With My Favorite People

So...Daddy was off last week due to LU being closed for the holidays. YAY! When Daddy's off we relax and go places. We went out for lunch a few days and did some shopping. Nothing to extraordinary. But I love having him home. It's such a security blanket.






On New Years Day, Grandma and Grandpa, Grandma Ba and Grandma Schaefer and Uncle Mikey and Tonya came over for my belated birthday dinner. Mom knows I don't really care about the time right now, so since December was so busy, we just delayed it. It turned out great. We had Lou Malnati's for lunch, played Scrabble and Balderdash, watched The Party, had ice cream cake (well, I had my Enjoy Life cookies, they had cake), and I got to open presents. What a great way to end the week.
