AJ's Poor Shoes...

Today the weather was finally over 32 degrees! After lunch, I took Mommy outside to play. I brought my ice cream truck, my little ambulance, and my pigskin football. It was my first time outside running around since I learned how to walk! What a new world! I was able to run away from Mama today!!

As you will see, today's pictures tell the story. I started out running away from Mama right away. I was so curious! I found a great big area of MUD and got completely stuck. My shoes stuck down deep and I fell to my knees in it because I couldn't get out of it. When Mommy picked me up and moved me back on the sidewalk, I came right out of one shoe and it remained in the mud! It didn't bother me, though. I kept on running around with one shoe on, one shoe off. Mommy could tell that I clearly did not care that my pants were full of mud or that I only had one shoe on, so she took the other one off, and I was off to the races again.

Then Mrs. Salazar came by on her way back into Dorothy Day Hall. She stopped to chat with us for awhile and tell us about how her son loves to run and play too! She seemed to enjoy watching me run around without shoes.

Needless to say, a bath was necessary before anything else this afternoon...

What can I say, I'm all boy!!

Mrs. Liz, don't worry. I had Mama put AJ's shoes in the wash right away. They are drying as I type!
