Grandma Schaefer (Great Grandma) has been wanting to take us out for dinner since I was born. I have made this a difficult task to complete! Almost 13 months later, it happened at lunch. We had a fabulous lunch at Gale Street Inn in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Chicago where Mommy grew up. Delish! I was so well behaved...enjoying my black beans and french fries. :)
After lunch we headed back to Gram's. I played with Daddy while Mommy helped Gram do a few things on her nifty laptop. Mommy got Gram into Bejeweled 2 as well!! Sr. Bernie came down to visit a few times too! I enjoyed being with everyone.
We were just about ready to pack up and head on back down to Romeoville, when I had a great surprise. My Grandpa and Grandma live in the house next door to Gram, you see. So, Grandpa decided to come over and surprise me! The best part of the surprise was that he brought Elmo with him. My Uncle Mikey gave Grandpa an Elmo cover for his golf driver. It's sort of like a puppet!
Gram called us while we were driving home to inform us that we left the camera behind! Gasp!! How will we blog?? Well, for the time being...blogging will be either all of my words or iPhone pics. Today, just my narration.
Sleep well everyone!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Gale Street Inn! That is where Mike and I had our wedding dinner after we snuck off and got married. When we lived in the Old Irving neighborhood, we used to get take out on special occasions. Good times.
